28" 795 Series pivot shoe width

I believe that the 795 Series in a 28" length will work for our windows; however, I am unsure of the pivot shoe width. The one we have is 1" wide. Is the pivot shoe on the 795 Series also 1"?

Hey, Rose. No, the shoe that comes with the Series 795 is 1-1/4" wide. I think you want our 15-194, instead. These shoes just pop on and off so you can swap them out without trouble.

Thanks for the response. One more question...can one upgrade a window balance or must you stay with what was original?

I'm not sure what you mean. There really isn't an upgrade for this kind of hardware. There are different spring strengths, represented by the options, but in that case you should stick with what you had originally. These are delicate systems so any deviation from the original hardware could cause the window to work improperly.
