28 inch non tilt window sash

Question

Has writing on metal bar as follows:
27 4 E0 CALDWELL.

Metal measures 28 inches, Bar height slightly over half inch. Currently Bars on both side of window not attached to side frame by bottom hook, hook broke off one sash. Not sure which replacement to buy. Please advise.

Thanks for posting. This looks like it might be either the S380-28 or S385-28 Channel Balance. The only difference between these two balances is the depth of the bottom nylon shoe, or the 'heel-to-toe' measurement. See the diagram below for reference. Compare both with your old hardware to see what matches best. In either case, for a stamp option choose 2740.
