2820 and 2830 PSI

A quick learner from Bakersfield, CA says:
I only have a couple of damaged balances and the rest are missing from the windows all together. They are 29" long, and 9/16" wide. I have two windows that have the 2830 size, and 3 windows that have the 2820. Will you please help me determine what hardware I need to repair these windows? The windows are metal frame, and probably from the 1980's.

Thank you so much.

Hi there!

We can certainly help but I'll just need one more piece of information in order to do so. Can you show us a photo of an undamaged top fitting on your balance? Once I see that, I can identify what Series of balance you need.

A quick learner from Bakersfield, CA says:
I sent pics of those yesterday by email, but I've also uploaded them here now.

Your top fitting is too damaged, unfortunately. In order for us to provide a recommendation, we'd like to see an undamaged version of your top fitting.

A quick learner from Bakersfield, CA says:
I don't seem to have any undamaged ends n the channel balances. There s a piece on a few of the windows that the balance would fit in, I have included pics. Hopefully that helps?

I'm afraid these new photos don't help us ID your balance. Is there an identical window in the house? If there is, we can use that balance's top fitting as a reference.

A quick learner from Bakersfield, CA says:
I found an undamaged one! Hopefully now we can find the right balance. Also is there a top piece that these clips in to, like in the pictures I sent at 11:45 am on 10/7? Do you have those pieces as well?

Hey there! Emily isn't here today but I'll do my best to help.

Reviewing these fittings, my recommendation would be our Series 395. This has a 19-005 top and 15-001 bottom nylon fitting, so as long as these match up you should be good to go.
