How can I help you with this balance? To determine the sash weight, remove your window sash and place it on a bathroom scale. If you have any other questions, please ask.

Thank you Ben. Not really looking to remove window again till I have an extra channel in hand, hopefully it will not be necessary One of the other window channels was marked 29 4 before ordering I called rep at swisco and was told that was equal to 2940 (23-28 lbs)
Is there a difference in spring or cord strength?
Maybe that is what I needed to ask?

Looking over your original stamp, I believe you have a special extra-strength balance spring. The weight of your sash appears to be listed as 48 pounds, which exceeds all standard options we have for the S380-30. The 2940 will certainly not work for you.

If the sash is 48 pounds, we would need to custom make it. I would highly recommend confirming the exact weight of the sash, since we will have to calibrate the spring to this weight. Precision is very important. If it is 48 pounds, then please tell me how many you need. Once I know that, I can email you a custom balance order link and price quote.

following up on this thread, if I wanted to order 4 balances ..29" in length supporting a weight of 45 pounds...how much would our cost be for that?

If you're referring to our S380-29? If so, since this original post was made we've added a stamp option that can carry 45 pounds. That'd be our 2875 stamp, which carries 42 though 45 pounds.
