Question

It has 31 5 BS CALDWELL ; I measured the metal part it is exactly 32 inches long and the place part with the wings is 1.1/16

Please let me know if you need any additional information. I will order 4 of these.

Hi Debi. This looks like either an S380-32 or S385-32 Channel Balance. The only difference between these two types of balances is the depth of the bottom nylon shoe, or the 'heel-to-toe' measurement. The image below illustrates the difference. The Series 380 has a shoe that is 1" deep, while the Series 385 has a shoe that is 1-3/32" deep.

If you're correctly measuring the depth and you're getting 1-1/16", it's very likely the shoe just slightly wore down over time, and the S385-32 is what you need. In any event, you'll need to choose a stamp option of 3150.
