39381 & 39382

Question

Hello I am looking for a right hand & left hand window operator. Your 39381. & 39382 look very close to what I need. I have a truth entryguard and the number on the body is 45275 the short arm is 31504 and the long arm is 31503. On the left one the long arm is 31506. I measure the long arm at 6" and the short arm at 3 1/2. Will your part work for me? You don't show a measurement for the short arm.

We carry a few similar operators to yours but they do not have a link arm that measures exactly 6" long. TWe carry the 39-035 shown below, but this arm is only 3-15/16" long.

We also offer the 39-381, which measures 6-1/2" long as shown below. In a worst case scenario, you could theoretically adjust the position of the bracket on the sash to which the 39-381 connects. You would just have to drill new holes for it in the sash, being careful not to hit the glass. That might make up the difference. Note that this operator does not have the same offset in the link arm, which may make it trick to attack the arm to the bracket.

If that fails, the only other option would be to swap the arms. You'd drill out the arms on the new and old operators, then install the old arm on the new operator with our 62-014. This would be hammered in place over a metal plate. With that being said, there's also a chance that our 39-381 can work fine as-is. Review the specifications of both options and see what you think.
