3 and 3/4" hole spacing on a patio door handle

Home Owner from Honolulu, HI
I have an old patio door and the handle is broken. There is a 3 and 3/4" spacing between the screw holes and I cannot find any handle on line (yet!) that fits. A lock is not necessary. I hope you can help!

Hello! Your handle isn't immediately familiar to me, but I will do my best to find something that can replace it. Before I recommend anything, I'd like a little more information.

First, can you flip over the two handles here and show me the other sides? I want to see what you see normally. I'd also like you to show me a picture of the mortise lock that this handle interacts with (if it indeed interacts with anything). That's the hook latch mechanism inside the door. Finally, can you also confirm the spacing of the holes? Please make sure to measure from the center of each hole, not their edges. I'm hoping it's more like 3-15/16".

Your handle looks a little old fashioned to me, so my goal right now is to see if we have a modern handle that will fit on your door and interact with the existing hardware without having to drill new holes or anything like that. The less work you have to do, the better.

Thank you, Tom. The building is 52 years old and I reckon the door handle is original. The spacing really is 3 and 3/4", I've measured it from middle of the hole to middle of the hole many times. I had also bought a 3 and 15/16" handle thinking, 'Hey, it's only a little different', but of course that was enough to make it not work. I've included the photos here. I appreciate your trying to help, Tom.

Thanks, Mark! These images are a huge help. I unfortunately wasn't able to find anything that matches what you show here. At 52 years old, what you have here is probably a collector's item at this point.

We do have one option you can consider that I'm confident will work, but it would require drilling new installation holes. Would that be something you're willing to do? If so, my recommendation is our 82-005. This has an installation hole spacing of 4-15/16". It also has its own self-contained latch built into the handle itself, meaning it can work on just about any kind of door. Look it over and see what you think. We also have an installation video that you may find helpful.
