The #530C shoe is discontinued. The part was replaced by our 15-046. Do you think you can use this as a replacement?

Hello, I want to buy a pair of spiral balances that would fit the #530C shoe (which was not damaged). What sprial balance would match the #530C shoe? (I cannot find any part no on the spiral balance.)

Being a tilt window, you have two options to replace your balance: either the 3/8" diameter Series 900 or the 9/16" diameter Series 600. Both are compatible with this style shoe. You need to measure the diameter of the outer tube on your old balance to determine the better match.

What is the difference between series 600 and 900?

As mentioned in my previous post, the difference is in the diameter of the outer tube..
