60 year old patio door handle set

Question

I am looking for a universal replacement for this patio door.  The mounting screws are only 3" apart and I understand I will have to drill new holes.  I'm not sure which mortise latch would be best on this door.  Removing the handle will destroy it because screws are frozen and heads are stripped.  This handle is subject to constant salt air.  Any suggestions?  Thank You, Don

Take a look at our 82-005 surface mounted handle. As you mentioned, you will need to drill new holes to accommodate it. This handle set also comes with a keeper that you will need space to mount in the door jamb. Please let us know if you have any other questions. Thank you!
