6ft patio sliding glass door ocean front
I tryed to get the rollers out at the bottom but ther is only an adjustment screw.
The top and bottom need new guides and weather strips.
Also how do I remove the old or do I replace the top and bottom frames ?
Thank you Don
Hello,
Unfortunately, we don't have a video on your type of patio glass door. However, take a look at the videos on patio doors related on this page. You'll need to start by removing the Phillips screw shown in your photos from both bottom corners of the door. Then lay the door down on a table or a set of sawhorses. With the door secured, take a block of wood, a mallet, or a hammer to tap off that bottom rail from the door gently. With that being said, I do not see the roller at the bottom of the door. Did someone already remove them already?
As for the guides and weatherstripping that you mentioned, we would need to see detailed photos of each piece to compare to our inventory. For the weatherstripping, we'll need to see an end profile photo of the seals uninstalled as shown in the video below. It's tough to be sure but it looks like you may have bubble seals and wool pile, which can be found here. You'll need to confirm the dimensions of your seals compared to our replacements to confirm the best match. Thank you!
