25 R 770 series balance

Question

I am confused.  i am measuring 26" for the balance, but there is a 25r stamp on it. so i am guessing that it is a 25 and not a 26 inch but what is the "r" for your replacement options are A-D

That is pretty peculiar for this Series. If your metal channel is 26" then that's how long it is. The stamp does not override the literal size of the hardware.

That said, this isn't unheard of. Other balance Series have stamps that are one digit less than the stamp. It's possible your balance was just made by a manufacturer who used a different rating system from other companies.

If you're confident that you have the S770-26 in every other detail, then you can simply weigh your sash on a scale and refer to the chart we show on that store page. That will tell you which of our stamps will work.
