780 mortise lock-Flush type

Question

I'm trying to replace the locking mechanism in my Sliding Glass door. I believe it was manufactured by Imperial Hardware and the part needed is a 780 mortise lock-Flush type. I noticed that the #82-260 only measures 1.5" deep.

My current hardware is 1.75" deep (see attached photos).

I know the SWISCO #82-260 mechanism will fit in the door, but I'm wondering if the bolts that run through the mechanism and hold the handles on will line up?

Please advise?

Can you help me with this part or put me in touch with someone who could?

Hi Greg. I'm afraid I am not certain if the 82-260 will work for you; not only is the depth different, but you will also note that the orientation of your mortise lock's hooks project outwards, whereas with the 82-260 these hooks project inwards. Unfortunately, the 82-260 is the closest match we have, but I do not believe it would work without some modification to the door. I apologize we cannot be of more help, and many thanks for considering our business.
