82-002 for 2" thick door

82-002 This product seems to be an exact fit for a customer's door. Unfortunately, his door is 2 inches thick, so the cylinder and hook bolt don't reach where they need to.

At one time, Acorn had a thick patio door that took a handle similar to the 82-002, but it's no longer made since they're out of business. Could you reuse the existing hook, cylinder and screws with the new 82-002 handle? If not, I suggest taking a look at a surface mounted handle like the 82-005. This might be your best solution to repair the door.
