82-005 and 82-225

A handy person from San Luis Obispo says:
The "spring" on my "internal lever lock" has failed. So I need to replace the "internal lever lock." Handle ssembly & internal lock are from a 1989 Milgard sliding glass door.

Does the 82-005 (Surface Mount Sliding Door Handle Assembly) use the 82-225 (Internal Lever Lock) as the latching mechanism?

Dave Sr. from SWISCO responded:

Thanks for writing in. The 82-005 surface mount assembly comes with its own internal lock. These handles were used on the older style Peach Tree patio door handle. I do not believe it is interchangeable with the one in the 82-005.
