90-252 and 90-253 latch mechanism installation

I received the 90-253 and 90-252 latch mechanism and it is the right size but the old unit I am replacing has 2 screw holes in the Cover of the Latch Mechanism to attach to the sliding window. Yours does not and I cannot figure out how to get the white cover off to attached the mechanism to the sliding window

I am going to need about 10 and I wanted to make sure I got the correct unit.

Options ? Please let me know

Is there a different unit with screw holes

Is there a way to remove the cover

Is there a way to attach the one I received to our sliding windows

Thanks for your patience in this matter. The 90-262 base is meant to screw to the window, and then the 90-253 snaps onto that. We checked but I'm afraid they no longer make this with screw holes. The snap-on version is the only type still available.

I purchased these two pieces but I can't seem to be able to get the post on the latch to fit into the hole on the mechanism.Which row of holes is it supposed to go into?
The post is rectangular but the hole looks square.

I'm not sure what the issue may be. In order to install the cover, you just push the button in and snap it onto the latch mechanism. Where are you running into issues?

The button will not snap into the mechanism. The pins are not the same configuration. When I looked at the picture in your catalog, I saw a cover with totally different pin layout. The 5 pictures I sent should show the disparity. If you have these in stock, I ask that you physically snap them together,if you can. Then send me the assembled set please.I also took these parts to my window install company (United Glass) and they couldn't make it work either.

Oh, I see. I didn't realize you had submitted another discussion. I'm looking closely at these new photos and I don't see any significant difference between what you're showing me here and our 90-253. You say that there's a disparity but I can't make it out. Can you be more specific?

I just snapped two of these together from our stock and they went together fine. It is a little awkward but I was able to get it. I'm really not sure what the issue may be.
