I have this operator on a vinyl replacement window. I would like to use this unit on an Andersen wood awning window from the 1960's. It's 41" wide x 18" high. I think I can modify the sash to receive the scissor hardware but I'm not sure if it will push that wide a window out properly. I like the 15" opening measurement and I think it will work...do you?

With a window at 41" wide, you might need to use something like our the 39-015 operator, along with 39-170 sash bracket and 39-114L handle. We also have Andersen operator kits you could consider; see our 39-389 long kit and 39-390 short kit, as well as our 39-286 handle.
Depending on the size you need, I believe that you should be able to adapt any of these operators to your window. If you still aren't sure, or if you don't think these will work, please send us some photos of your window and hardware along with all dimensions for us to take a look at.
