Alcan Window Channel Balance and Glazing Bead

A quick learner from Orlando says:
Hi there,
My house was built in 1991 with Alcan windows in whole house with some broken Glazing Strips, Sash Guides and channel balance.
1. I took one balance out and measured the metal part, its length is 35 inches (window height is 37 inches), with part number showed as b 3420; and other balance with broken pastic end in the window, the window height is 33 inches, I did not take it out for measurement of the balance. Please advise what parts I should use for these different balance.
2. I also need Part numbers for Glazing strips and Sash guides used in the balance, as shown in pictures,

Best regards.

Thank you for your inquiry. I have known most Alcan windows such as yours use our Series 380 Channel Balance. In your specific case, you'd need the S380-35 with a 3420 stamp option. Take a look and let us know if this is the balance you have been looking for. You also mention sash guides, but if you mean the nylon fittings attached to the metal channel, note that all of our channel balances come with their fittings assembled and the balance ready to install out of the box. If you mean something else, please show us pictures and we'll do our best to help.

As for your glazing bead, see if our 55-092 glazing bead is a match for you. Compare the dimensions listed below to your old bead and see what you think.

As a matter of fact, we do. That appears to match our 55-182. Check it out and let me know if you agree, or if you had any questions.
