Alenco Channel Balance Replacement

Question

I need new 2740 channel balances. The shoe is close to the 15-003, but the width is 1-3/32" rather than 1-3/16".

In this case, am I better off getting a 15-001 shoe? I'm thinking it's better to have a shoe that is 1/32" too narrow (the 15-001 is 1-1/16") rather than 3/32" too wide (the 15-003 is 1-3/16"). The 15-001 is only 1" tall whereas my shoe measures 1-1/16" tall.

By balance top matches the 19-005 dimensions.

The measurement in question appears to be the depth. If the depth is 1-3/32", then I think the 15-001 is the correct match. I would recommend our Series 395 channel balance.

I wouldn't overthink the other dimensions we show for that shoe. They tend to vary from manufacturer to manufacturer, but they don't make all that much of an impact. Depth is the most important one.
