Alenco Window Channel Balance

Handy Person from Harlingen, TX 78552
It appears that my Alenco window channel balance is broken. The number on the channel balance is "2720". It is 1/2" wide and I think (because it's mostly exposed) is most likely 27" long. Do you have replacement Channel Balances? I would probably order 2 and repace both at the same time. Thanks - Jim Bradley (303-946-8455 or jamesrbradley@msn.com)

We are glad to see that you were able to upload your photos to us. A question, did you happen to remove your sash, or did the balance jump up past your sash? If it did jump past your sash, you have a broken top sash guide which look similar to the 18-174. There are a number of videos on how to replace a broken top sash guide. Look over at the list of videos we placed on this page for more help. We also see you have a screw on top window stop that means you don't have a take out clip like our 16-002. You will need to remove stop. From there should be something under it to stop the balance from going all the way to the top so you can remove the sash. In looking at what I can see of your balance, it shows some resemblances to our S395-28, not 28" with a 2720. Look it over and get back to us with any questions you may have.
