Alenco channel balance

A quick learner from Tehachapi, CA says:

I have Alenco windows. Only the bottom sash moves. I need a set of channel balance as well as a set of replacement retaining clips (the ones used to remove the lower sash). One of the clips has broken.

The channel balance is marked 2720Q as shown in the attached photo. The metal part of the channel balance is 28 inches long.

Thank you,

Allan

Hello,

It sounds like you might be looking for a take out clip like our 16-002. Take a look and see how it compares to yours.

As for your balances, we would need to see the attachment at the opposite end of the metal channel as well to narrow down your replacement options. Thank you!

A quick learner from Tehachapi, CA says:
I have added photos of both ends. The take-out clip 16-002 appears correct. Mine is roughly 1.25 inches long.

It looks like you have either our S351-28, with a 15-002 bottom attachment, or S390-28, with a 15-001 bottom attachment. Take a look at the image below to determine which balance you'll need. You'll also need a 2720 spring strength option for your replacement balances. Thank you!
