Allside window balance circa 2005 bent up ribbon 3-15-25

Handy Person from Damasus, Md.

I need at minimum (2) steel ribbons to fix this AllSide window.  You can see from the pics the ribbon got bent up while opening.  I actually intend on purchasing 8-10 to keep in inventory because this isn't the first time I have had issues with this brand of window..

INFO::  There are no markngs to be found on the ribbon or shoe

The sash weighs about 20.2 Lbs and is roughly 24 1/2 inches in height with an 18 inch travel (to open)The ribbons (2) on each side are 1/2 inch in width. The channel the assemblies fit into is 1 1/4 inches wide.  The roller the ribbon rotates on is 3/4 in diameter. There is an upper and lower ribbon on each side that both tie into the shoe on their respective side.

Please text my cell if additional information is required,.Thank you for you time.

Thanks for reaching out to us. The pivot shoe resembles the 15-177 which uses the 1/2" Series 152 coil springs (sold separately). Note that the springs screw to the side of the shoe.

If the window sash is 20.2 pounds, you can use two S152-5 5-pound springs on each side of the window which will total 20 pounds of overall support.

For new spring supports, see the 15-143 bushing, 15-144 bushing cap, and 15-145 barrel.
