Alside window parts...

Quick Learner from Colorado
I have Alside double hung windows. 3 of my units need new coil balances at the least. I am thinking I should replace the coil balances and the support. Pictures attached.

I am not sure if there are other parts in there that I don't know about that also need replaced. I trust you do!

If you would help me find the right part numbers, and number per window unit (4 I think), that would be great!

Thanks for posting. This looks like a 15-177 Pivot Shoe, which uses Series 152 Coil Balances. For each specific coil spring you're replacing, you'll need to choose a spring weight, which denotes the weight the individual spring is meant to support. There should be stamps on the coil springs that indicate this, but if there is none or you're unsure, just give me the exact weight of the window sash that these coil springs support, and I can work it out for you.

We carry a slightly different housing for these coil springs, but it will work just as well: see the 15-143, 15-144, and 15-145. These parts 'sandwich' around each individual coil spring. Let me know if you have further questions.

First window is 14.2 lbs
Other windows, 20 lbs

Are mine double spring? Looking at the video for the triple spring, it says you cannot cut out the rear sash to replace them. Is this the case for my set up? Because it is the rear window that needs repaired!

The three parts replace the housing on mine, right? How many of each is needed for each window?

Thanks for the help!

Fyi, that is the window weight, not the imprinted weight I couldn't see.

Your balance assembly doesn't appear to be triple spring, no. At the very least, I only see two springs in the photos you provided. The only way you'll know for sure is to count them.

So the next step here is to just pick the spring weights that add up to support your sash. For the first sash, I suggest two 7 lb springs (one on each side), which adds up to 14 pounds of support. For the second sash, you can use four 5 lb springs (two on each side), which gives you 20 pounds of support.

Please feel free to reach out if you had any questions.

Sure, the tilt latch looks like it could be a match for our 26-243 and 26-244. You should review our dimensions (which I'll share below) to verify.

The other part you show here is called a sash stop. We sell a very limited number of these, and unfortunately this design is not one of them. These are usually made specific to a particular window track, so you will need to get back in touch with the manufacturer for an exact match. I am sorry for the inconvenience.
