Aluminum Windows Sash Balance

A professional from Camarillo California says:
HI,
I need to replace broken aluminum windows sash balances.
I ordered 2 pieces a couple of moths ago, but they did not match the originals.
The part I order is S371-28.
Every thing looked good, except the plastic end of it is different (see attached picture with both new and old balances)

Thanks for posting. Sorry that the S371-28 did not work out for you. Judging from these pictures, it looks like you should see our S380-28 or S385-28 instead. The only difference between these two Series is the 'depth' of the bottom nylon shoe. With the Series 380 the depth of this nylon shoe is 1", whereas with the Series 385 it is 1-3/32". Compare with your own and see what is best.

Once you know what balance to select, you must choose a stamp option. Your stamp option of 2730 is for a window sash in the weight range of 13 through 19 lbs.

Finally, do you need to replace your top sash guide as well? If so, take a look at our 18-009; but carefully compare the dimensions to your old part to see if it matches.
