Hello there. This looks like the 39-291 Andersen Locking Handle. Please compare.

I have exactly this part, but the (I think) metal tab that fits into the square hole and keeps it attached seems to have disappeared. The lock works just fine, but the handle falls off in the Down position. Is there a replacement tab? Do I need a new locking mechanism? Thanks.

It sounds like you might need a new locking mechanism, yes. We do sell the 38-147 and 38-149, which are designed to go with the 39-291. Start by looking these components over and seeing how well they match up.
If they differ in any way, please submit photos of your original mechanism for us to review and we can give you our analysis then.
