Andersen replacement

Question

Awning style, 1950s home. 15" arm. If I can't buy replacement opener, is there a replacement spline? It works with some handles from inside the home but not all.

Hello,

You have a very old operator that hasn't been made in a long time. Andersen never made a working substitute for it, but you may be able to get our 39-389 to work.

Many customers who tried the 39-389 said it worked well, but others reported that the sash wouldn't close all the way due to the shoe hitting the end of the track. If this happens to you, you could try to mount the operator base a little further back on the sill. Review the specifications of this assembly and see what you think. Thanks for posting!
