Atrium Single Hung Balance System

Question

My atrium single hung windows have a balance like your series 795 balances. I?m tired of replacing the T lock balance shoes every year. Is there another type of balance system that can replace the 795 that does not have breakable plastic parts?

I'm afraid they don't make another balance like the Series 795 but made of stronger materials. That said, your shoes shouldn't be breaking every year. You should be getting a decade of use out of them, at the very least. I think there may be something else afoot that is causing these shoes to break.

To help us get to the bottom of this, can you tell me the stamp printed on your original balance and the exact weight of the sash it supports? That will give us a clue as to what the problem may be, or at least cross a few things off the list of culprits.
