BALANCE COIL FOR SIMONTON DOUBLE HUNG WINDOWS

Dear Sirs: My 90 year old father needs your expert advise! He would like to purchase two balance coils for his Simonton double hung windows he purchased recently. The coils have two numbers on them. The first number is 5.5 35". The second number is the Patent Number which is 5232208. Could you please help us out with this order? Joan

Thank you for posting. Based on your stamp, it's possible that you have our S160-5, but I can't be certain without seeing your coil and the pivot shoe that it attaches to. Compare our S160-5 to your hardware and see if it matches up, in the meantime.

Dear Tom: Attached is a photograph that my sister just took for my father. My father would like to purchase a couple of these balance spring coils from you if you have them in your inventory. The windows are Simonton double hung and recently installed.

Thank you! This makes things a bit clearer. You may also want to consider our S165-5. That is another possibility. The major difference between them is the width of the coil. the Series 165 coils have a width of 3/8" as opposed to the 1/2" width of the Series 160 spring.
