SORRY, NO NUMBERS OR NAMES ON THE COILS OR OTHER HARDWARE.  THE BALANCE CAME FROM A SIMONTON HURRICANE RATED WINDOW.  IT IS A HEAVY TOP WINDOW OF A DOUBLE HUNG WINDOW.  I NOW HAVE TWO WINDOWS THAT HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM.  BOTH ARE TOP BACK SIDE OF THE DOUBLE HUNG WINDOWS FROM SIMONTON. MFR CODE: SIM-4

Thanks for writing in! Your exact Simonton coil balance shoe is no longer made but our 15-259 Coil Balance Pivot Shoe should work well as a replacement. Carefully look over the dimensions and compare them to your shoe to confirm that it will be a fit.

This shoe is compatible with the Series 159 Coil Balance. Since there are no stamps or markings on the coil spring, you'll need to obtain the exact weight of the sash to determine the spring strength needed to repair support the weight.

Your existing pivot bar isn't likely to be compatible with the newer shoe, so you'll need to replace it with the 26-083 2-1/2" Pivot bar.
