Need both side Balance springs pieces.
Window weighs 17 pounds.

Hello,

Take a look and compare the specifications of our 15-199 pivot shoe shown below to yours, which is designed to use either the 1/2" Series 160 or 3/8" Series 165 coil springs.

Based on your sash weight, I would recommend using either the S160-9 or S165-8 on each side depending on the coil width that you need. Review these parts and the related items listed on our product pages to your original hardware. Thanks for posting!

Thank you for your help.
Yes the shoe shown is the same size as mine.
What about the top plastic piece?
Each side of my window seems to have 2 springs. You can see them in my photo.
My springs are 1/2" width.
Did the springs break?
Does the top piece come separately then?

Take a look at the 15-150S single support used with the 1/2" wide S160-9 coil spring. You are correct that it is sold separately. It also does look like the coil spring shown in your photo snapped in half.
