Question

The balance rod appears twisted as if to tension a spring, but the twisted part retracts into a chamber on beside the top sash.

It appears that your window uses Spiral Balances. Is this a non-tilt or tilt in window? We will also need to know the length and diameter of the metal tube that the spring sits in. Thank you!
