Balance Assembly
Thanks for posting. Your pivot shoe looks like an older version of our 15-175. Compare the width and thickness of your shoe to confirm it's a match. This pivot shoe is compatible with our Series 152 Coil Balances. For your pivot bar, see our 26-316.
Hm, if it was 9/16" I'd say you could go for the 15-175, but 7/16" is a little peculiar to me. Could you double-check those measurements just to be safe? If it's definitely 7/16", I'll consult with my colleagues for the right choice. Many thanks.
OK, so it just so happens someone else asked about this same pivot shoe this morning, and I was able to use the patent number in his photos to track it down in our records. I'm afraid this coil balance system isn't made anymore, so we can't provide an exact match. That said, in the past we actually recommended our Series 140 Coil Balance system as a replacement, so look it over and see what you think. The biggest obstacle I immediately see is that the Series 140, just like the 15-175, has a thickness of 9/16" instead of 7/16", so you'll have to assess whether you think your jamb track can accept that difference.
If you can get this to work, the nice thing about the Series 140 is it comes as one whole part: pivot shoe and coil springs assembled. You'll need to weigh your sash and divide that exact weight in half to confirm the proper spring weight option. For instance, if your sash weighs 20 lbs, you'd need the 140-10.
A final issue here is the pivot bar. Your old ones aren't going to work with the S140, so you'd need either our 26-398 or 26-405 as replacements, depending on which more closely matches your current pivot bar's hole spacing.
Sorry it took a little time for me to identify this. Let me know what you think.
