Balance (Milestone 1000 single hung)

Hi,
I need help to correctly identify a balance please. It is stamped 28C and is 28". The pictures will show the ends. The sash weight is 20 lbs.

Thanks for posting! It looks like you have either the S380-28 with a 1" shoe or the S385-28 with a 1-3/32" shoe. Although, I would be sure to double check that the length of the metal channel is 28" and not 29".

To determine which series is needed for your window. Look over the dimensions from the diagram below to confirm the depth of your bottom shoe; let me know if it does not match either measurement. You'll need to select the 2740 stamp for a 20lb window.
