Balance Repair Simonton Window

A home owner from Il says:
Hello, I have attached phots of the failed balance assemblies in my simonton "prism" windows. The windows are apox 10 years old. I am trying to find replacemt assemblies. Can you Identfy? The windows are Double hung and the Tilt in for cleaning.

The unit Measures:
Width - 1 1/2"
Height not encluding Shoe? (little part that extends): 3 1/8"
Depth:7/8"
Width of Tape Spring: 3/4"
Stamped Code on Spring:406
# of Springs: 2

Thanks for posting! Take a look at our 15-192 pivot shoe. Does this look like a match for your hardware? If so, you might also want to consider either S171-406 coil spring. Let me know what you think.

HA That looks like a great match and I never thought of just replacing the pivot shoe.

What about the assembly itself. I have one window assembly itself fell apart. Meaning both springs the housing and the pivot shoe.

Also how do I know if my coil springs are still serviceable

Usually, if the springs don't outright break, you can reuse them. Same goes for the housing. If the individual components have just come off you should be able to reattach them.
