Balance shoe

Question

One side the metal is broken from an improper removal/insulation. Can I replace just the shoe and if so what is the part # I need? If I need to replace the coil and shoe what part # do I need?  Thank you

Thanks for posting! Your balance shoe is no longer made but the 15-177 Coil Balance Shoe should work to replace it. I'm confident it should be a fit but take a look over the dimensions and compare them to confirm.

The compatible coil spring is the 1/2" wide Series 152 Coil Balance. These are attached to the shoe using the 33-072 screw. You'll need to examine the existing coils for any damaged.

If you are in need of replacements for the coils, you'll need to look for a stamp/marking on them to determine the correct weight option(s). If there aren't any stamps/markings, please see the tutorial (tagged below) for instructions on selecting the correct ones.

If you can reuse the existing coils supports, it would be advised to do so; if not, you'll need the 15-143 Coil Bushing, 15-144 Coil Bushing Cap, and 15-145 Coil Support Barrel. All three snap together to create the support.
