Balance tubes

The code says BSI 28 on the back of the tubes. Please help

Hi there!
Thanks for reaching out to us. We're happy to help with this. We'll just need a few more details to confirm what you may have here. Can you confirm the length of the metal channel? How does the balance install at the top of the window? Can you also show us a photo of the top of the metal tab on the shoe? Lastly, can you weigh the window sash on a scale and tell us the precise weight?

The metal tube is 29" long.
The balance slides into the plastic molded jamb. Not sure what holds it there. Friction?

I'll not be back at the job for a week to weigh the sash...approx 5-10 lbs

Thank you kindly for getting back to us. The S751-29 comes to mind for your balance. However, the 15-014 default shoe our balance comes with has a different metal tab as shown in the image below. We can't promise it will work for you due to that difference but it's the best we can offer. Note that the Series 751 mounts to the top of the window with an s-clip like the 19-029 or 19-030. Your old balance might too so we recommend checking an identical window in the house once you get back to the site, if possible, to confirm.
Once you have the precise sash weight, you can refer to the chart under the product description on the S751-29 store page to determine the proper stamp option for your replacements.

Do you have all the information you need?

Since the sash weighs 17-18 pounds and the metal channel is 29", see the S751-29 with the 28R stamp option. A pair of balances with this stamp is calibrated for a sash weighing 15 to 22 pounds.

I'm happy I could help!
The balances will come attached with the shoes but the S-clips are sold separately!
