Weathershield window balancer. Looks like ribbed, but not sure which model. Window is probably 20 yrs old. Characters on part(see picture): DB J03 and 33 TGX

It looks like you need a new tilt window channel balance, but I can't identify what you need based on these photos. This service requires clear and unobstructed photos of the complete assembly. That means you'll need to remove an undamaged version and show us a clear photo of the top end, bottom end, and the shoe or clip at the end of the cord. Please let me know if that's possible and we can work from there.

I've added four new pictures showing the top end, bottom end (the block and tackle can also be seen in one of the previous pictures), the entire ouside of the mechanism, and the inside with the spring. The spring is currently not attached as it broke away fro the block and tackle. I'm guessing I need a ribbed channel balancer for a tilt window but I'm not sure which one. The balancer is 34 inches long, end to end, but since it has 33 TGX printed on it (see one of the original pictures) I'm guessing the size doesn't get measured end to end.

These photos don't appear to show the clip or shoe that's at the end of the cord. That is an essential detail and unfortunately not something that we can do without. I will need you to take photos of your balance precisely as I described in my previous response or else we will not be able to assist you with this project.

That is the part we need to see, yes. This looks like it might be the 15-197. Balances made with this shoe are not available as stock assemblies and so this would need to be custom made.

Before you do anything, I strongly suggest that you review the 15-197 to ensure that it matches the design of the original shoe. Custom balances are non-refundable, and given that your shoe is still in the window I can't really make out the full design. 15-197 is a strong possibility but not guaranteed. You need to verify on your end that this is correct.

Assuming so, then what we can do is set you up with a custom order for an S751-34 channel balance with a 33TG stamp. We would then swap the shoe out for the 15-197.

Two balances with a 33TG stamp hold sashes weighing 29 through 36 pounds. I also suggest that you check your sash weight to confirm that it falls in that range.
