My windows dont stay open. They were purchased at home depot about 2006

It sounds like you need new balances. We're happy to help but we'll need more information. Can you show us a photo of the pivot shoe, preferably removed from the window? The related video will demonstrate how to do so using the cutout method.

Thank you for the additional photos! The 15-087 is my recommendation. Since it's stamped with the number 4, see the S180-04 4-pound spring. We also sell the 16-024 but you can reuse your old mounting bracket if it's in good shape.
