Block and Tackle replacement

Question

The silver rod is 25 1/4 inches, the spring is 13 3/4 from the very bottom of the hook to the very top.  This comes from a single hung window where the bottom window opens and tilts in.  The upper windown doesn't move.

Thanks for your post! The balance you have here is a discontinued, Crossbow balance. We often recommend the Series 795 Channel Balance as a replacement. They are not a direct replacement but they've been successful in quite a few repairs.

Take a look at the tutorial below for a detailed explanation on what we'll need to confirm the correct replacements. In addition to those, please also confirm the diameter of the coiled spring on the balance.
