My windows are in need of new weather stripping along the bottom edge of the frames. I know the existing stripping is a t-slot foam filled bulb type. The issue I have is removing the existing stripping from the frame. The frame has mitered corners. It looks like the stripping was installed first and then the frames were glued together. The glue process sealed the slot opening for the weather stripping. Do you have any suggestions on how to remove the old stripping and slide the new one in? I don't want to break the frame.. Thank you in advance for any assistance you can offer. Rick

It's entirely possible the slots on your window are sealed at the end. Your only option would be to cut a hole at the end of the slots so that you can slide this weatherseal out at the end. You should be able to use a razor.

You can send a sample, if you wish, but please understand that if it's too damaged or deteriorated we won't really be able to identify it even if we have it on hand. If you do have an undamaged sample, it might be quicker for you to take its measurements and refer to the section we linked you to before. It's ultimately up to you. We just received your sample T-Slot foam filled window sash weather seal. Based on what I'm holding, I think you can use our 58-182. This seal is sold in 12' lengths.
