Broken double hung window shoe.

I cannot find the right size shoe for the window. We measured:
1 1/2"Tall x 13/16"Thick x 1 1/2"Wide
I would like to order 10 in case more break.

This old Simonton Pivot Shoe is unfortunately no longer available; however it can be replaced with our 15-259 Shoe. This will require however replacing the coil balance assemblies with our Series 159 Coil Springs. The video below covers how to do this. Take a look and see what you think.

How can I tell the weight to order?

Give me the exact weight of the window sash these balances support. This can be done using a bathroom scale. Once I have that exact weight I can work out what you need.

Thank you for your help. The bottom sash with the locks on it weigh 10.2 lbs.

Perfect, thanks. I advise you use two S159-5 5.5 pound springs, one for each side of the sash. This will equal 11 pounds of support overall--being within 1 pound of the exact sash weight works just fine. Let me know if you have other questions.
