Broken lock mechanism

Question

I am needing a new locking  mechanism for my sliding glass door. The top hook won't go back in only the bottom hook goes in and out. I ordered a piece from your company. But it seems that the screws don't lineup. This is prior to me taking pictures of the pieces. The piece I ordered was recommended to me by a Home Depot employee. Please help!

The 82-265 is what I'd recommend, but sometimes these older face plates don't match. Can you tell us how the hole spacing differs? The other option would be our 82-239, which is the same mortise lock but lacks a face plate. You'd then have to reuse your old face plate.
