Broken sash pins (?) and balance (?)

Handy Person from Seattle, WA
Not sure I am using the correct terminology....But the aluminum pin and the sliding plastic piece it plus into are broken on the tilting bottom sash of these double-hung windows. They were purchased in 2009. My documentation calls them "LBL Finale" and "Cascade/LBL 9100 Series"

The windows sashes are both very heavy, so if there is a choice in materials, I would choose the sturdier version.

I need two balancers and two pins total.

It sounds like you need a new pivot bar. We sell a ton of these so we may very well have a good match, but I'll need to see an undamaged version removed from the window first. Would that be possible?

As for the balance, we sell the individual components. I believe your pivot shoe is a match for our 15-228, which would make your coil spring the 1/2" thick Series 160 and the cover our 15-150D.

Note that these are educated guesses. I highly recommend reviewing the specs and information we have for each product named to verify that they match the original hardware. You may want to remove the old set to ensure an accurate comparison.

I pulled the pivot bars off another window - photos shown.

I watched the how to on removing the pivot shoe and coil. My windows don't have a cutout area, so I am going to have to make one tomorrow. Again these windows are *very* heavy (Each bottom sash is a 48" x 39" double pane window). I suspect they are at least double coils, if not triple. I can confirm after I cut out the cut outs.

Thank you! I recognize this pivot bar now. This is an old part that is, to my knowledge, no longer made; granted, this is an educated guess. The truth is we've just never been able to track it down, so I assume it's obsolete.

We don't have a verified replacement but I think you could actually use our 26-360 as an alternative. You'll note right away that its straight, rather than offset like your old one, but believe it or not that shouldn't matter. What's more important at this stage is that the hole placement aligns with your original. Only one hole has to match for it to work. Look it over and see what you think.
