Broken tilting piece

Handy Person from Manlius,NY

I can't find the manufacturer of the windows. Onondaga Window & Doors was a company in central NY awhile ago but can't find them now. I purchased the home with the windows already installed.

I will need 2 of these tilt pieces as the other side is cracked.

I guess I will need a tool as well.

Thanks,

Paul

Hi Paul. This is called a pivot shoe. I'm confident we can replace yours, but there's a ton of different kinds that might work with your window, so the only way to narrow down what you might need is to remove an undamaged one and give us a clear picture. We will also need to know the exact width and thickness of the shoe. From there we should be able to narrow this down for you in short order. For guidance on how to remove and replace these parts, see the video below.

Bob if you have the exact match for this part I will take 8 pieces, and also Thales a tensioning tool as well please.
Please advise
Appreciate your efforts

Hello! Maybe I can be of some assistance. I am very familiar with this pivot shoe and can verify that it's obsolete and no longer made. The good news is that you can use our 15-046 as an alternative. The design may look different but it's fully compatible with the same hardware in use with your window now and is the same size, to boot.
