Broken window spring

A quick learner from Boston, MA says:

Hello - The window code on the gold label UL-2, shows the manufacturer was Alside Products (acquired by Associated Materials.) The gold sticker doesn't show much information clearly. I attached it, along with the other sticker that showed the mfr date but not much else other then the PO @ 2260 and a date of 06/02/08 with the size 30 1/4 x 56 1/4. I think it matches one of your products, 161, but I'm not sure of the sash weight.

I would like to order a few as I'm sure now that one has snapped, others will to. Thanks very much for any help.

Hello,

Your photos resemble the 15-177 pivot shoe, which uses the S152 coil springs and related items shown on our product pages. There should be a number stamped on your coils that indicates the strength option needed. If not, you'd need to weigh the window sash and divide the weight by the number of coils used on both sides of the window to determine the correct strength options. Thank you!
