Broken window spring replacement part

A landlord from Troy, IL says:
The window that this part number belongs to will not stay up/open. Also, the window falls out of the track when being used. Any information about this part would be more then helpful.

Tom from SWISCO responded:
It sounds like a problem with the window balance. These are spring mechanisms on either side of the window. We can help, but we will need a picture of your original hardware in order to find a good match.

Well, we're one step closer. It looks like you have a spiral balance, I'm just not sure which. I recommend looking at our Spiral Balance Homepage here and follow the steps shown to determine what replacement part you need.

Based on the photo, I would recommend our  S600-32 with a red tip. If you don't have a charging tool, I would also recommend purchasing 75-006 charging tool.

Let me know what you think!
