CALDWELL window balance replacement

Question

I need to replace the Caldwell window balances on 1 window. The channel measures 21" long (not including the plastic tips on both ends) with 1/2" width. What are the replacement balances I need? The stamp shows 20 4 ES CALDWELL. Please see attached photos.

Hi, thanks for the post! It looks like you have either our Series 380 or Series 385 balance. To determine between the two, you'll need to do a bit of measuring. Measure the bottom plastic attachment from heel to toe, as shown below. If the depth is 1", you'll need a S380-21, but if it's 1-3/32" you'll need the S385-21 balance. For either series, you will choose the 2040 option to correspond with your "204 ES" stamp. Let us know if you need any additional help!
