CWS Window Balance

Question

I need to replace the window balance in my windows. The metal part of the balance measures 21". The cord pulley is located at each end of the balance. The number on the balance is 20 9 BSI. In order to get the window sash out I had to first remove the balance as it sits in a grove on the sash.

Can you tell me which balance I need to order.

With this combination of attachments, you could have either the S380-21 or S385-21 channel balance. You’ll need to measure as shown below. The Series 380 has a 1" bottom attachment, and the Series 385 has a 1-3/32" attachment.
