I am trying to replace a 14 yr old Caldwell channel balance and I need your help please? Picture# 1087 shows the part# printed on the channel. The other pictures show the top and bottom clips. Here are my measurements:
Channel (metal portion only) 28" Long
Channel (total length from clip to clip) 29" Long
Channel back 1/2" Wide
Channel front (spring side) 11/16" outer diameter, 9/16" inner diameter
Channel depth is 11/16" including the lip on the edge
Bottom clip is 1-1/8" wide from front to back of channel by 1-1/16" tall measuring the from top to bottom of front protruding nubs. Could not get a width as one tab is broken off.
Top clip is 1-1/4" tall by 15/16" wide across tab to tab and 13/16" from front of channel to back of clip.
The section of window that the channels fit onto is 28" tall by 48" wide. This is a non-tilt window.
I also need the little metal clip that pops up to catch and hold the channel balance spring, as it collapsed when I slid the window up. I do not know how much the window weighs, but my fingers can tell you it was very heavy when it came crashing down on them!
I hope all of my measurements help, let me know if you need more information and please let me know as soon as possible as I have the window just sitting in the sill. Thank you so much for your help.
Sincerely, Robin
