Caldwell window balance 28" stamped 27 5 CT Caldwell

Hi,

Im trying to figure out which balance I need. The house was built in 2002 and the metal portion of the balance is 28". It is stamped 27 5 CT Caldwell. As you can see from photos the top and bottom tips are winged.

Hi, Tom.

It looks like your balance matches either the S380-28 or S385-28 channel balance, depending on the depth of the bottom shoe. Our Series 380 comes attached with a 1" deep shoe and the Series 385 comes attached with a 1-3/32" deep shoe. Measure as shown in the image below to determine the best match. You will also need to select the 2750 spring strength option.
