My balance is 28" in length (metal only). 9/16 wide - (1/2" wide inside the channel with the spring).
Stamp on the balance states "27 4 C5 CALDWELL"

Hello,
It looks like your balance shoe may have had wings that broke off. If so, you could have either the S380-28 or S385-28 channel balance. You’ll need to measure as shown below. The Series 380 has a 1" bottom attachment, and the Series 385 has a 1-3/32" attachment.
You'll also need 2740 spring strength options for your replacement balances. Thank you and let us know if you have any other questions or concerns.

Hi. The balance shoe is 1-3/32 wide. There is not stamp on the balance. The window weights 24.3 pounds on a bathroom scale.

In that case, you would need the S385-28 channel balances. The 27 4 stamp shown in your original post would correspond to 2740 strength options to support a sash between 19-26 lbs.
